Pacific Northern, Inc. receives prestigious Sears awards

Pacific Northern, Inc., the industry leader in custom jewelry display production and design, has recently been named a Sears Partner in Progress for 2003 and Procurement Supplier of the Year 2003.

These prestigious awards are presented annually to a select group of suppliers who provide Sears, Roebuck and Co. with outstanding products and services ranging from apparel, appliances and tools to marketing, transportation services and technology.   More than 10,000 vendors competed for the awards in 2003. These awards, given to a selected few, represent the recognition of the efforts to advance the mutual commitment of the companies to be truly customer-driven.

Pacific Northern, Inc. was honored on April 13 at an event hosted by Sears Chairman and CEO Alan J. Lacy at Sears’ headquarters in Hoffman Estates, Ill.

Begun more than 20 years ago, the Partners in Progress program recognizes suppliers who make significant contributions to the growth of Sears businesses and the creation of new ways to better serve Sears customers. The winners were selected from nominations submitted by Sears’ employees who purchase goods and services for the company.   “On a list of top rated suppliers, Pacific Northern steps forward as one of Sears’ best. Within their industry, they uphold a reputation of excellence in quality, delivery and customer service. The 2003 Sears redesign of diamond case trim, accomplished by Pacific Northern, Inc., saved Sears over 55% on the price of the program compared to the old design.” read the nomination of Supplier Relations manager Rachel Borah.
